Sexual Harassment in Hollywood

This page contains/will contain articles and news stories (as they happen) about sexual harassment in Hollywood. It will include casting couch stories, the latest news on the sexual harassment show business front – and, of course, I won’t be leaving out Bill Cosby news…

The latest on Bill Cosby:

He’s going to court this week to get the criminal charges dropped. Action on this is happening daily. I’ll report what I can ASAP. Meanwhile, below is what I posted on the home page (here) in December:

This is too good to just put on the Sexual Harassment in Hollywood page. Justice may finally be on its way in one of the most high profile sexual harassment cases of the century – more news (and an arrest, hopefully) to follow…

Oops…things are happening so fast in this situation – more news just out:–abc-news-celebrities.html# And may I just say, “YAY!”

See, it IS possible to hold your harasser responsible for his/her actions. Possible and necessary (necessary for your own peace of mind and the safety of yourself and others). Refuse to allow someone to break the law and make you a victim, without facing consequences. Refuse to protect your harasser. Find the courage to speak out. Closure can come at a price, but it’s worth feeling safer (because you refused to empower a criminal by keeping quiet and shielding them), and vindicated. As a veteran of 3 sexual harassment lawsuits, I can tell you that from experience. Holding someone responsible for their actions can be very satisfying. 🙂

What a swell guy. What an upstanding citizen, eh? You decide… See #4 Anyone doubt that he deserves whatever he gets?

And even more on the Cosby drama. Bravo to the strong, brave women involved –

The latest I’ve seen: More lawsuits against the Cos, and daily there are more colleges taking back their honorary degrees from him because his actions are not in line with what they stand for. You can say that the shit has certainly hit the fan, with no let up in the fallout. Finally.

I love this cover and how more and more information is surfacing: These women are brave enough to speak out. It’s necessary – otherwise you’re empowering the harasser. From Yahoo News

The latest on the Bill Cosby drama. Show of hands – who’s surprised? From Yahoo News

First of all, without announcing that Bill Cosby is automatically guilty (although I have my own beliefs on that subject based on my experiences with him [see my e-book]), I must say that his actions (if true) constitute sexual harassment if he made participation in the sex act mandatory before he would help/mentor/employ any of the women. It is assault if it doesn’t include a threat to their employment. Of course, drugging them doesn’t allow for their consent, so that takes it into the realm of rape/sexual assault. That said…

The claim is that Cosby finally spoke to the allegations. Not really…;_ylt=A0SO8xrfMFlVFUEA_hNXNyoA;_ylu=X3oDMTEzb3NtaGwzBGNvbG8DZ3ExBHBvcwMxBHZ0aWQDVklQNTc3XzEEc2VjA3Nj From Yahoo News (Reuters)
